Fromm to strengthen Vibo Valentia roster

A club which made the headlines in August when it announced the arrival of star Japanese opposite Yuji Nishida will soon be joined by another prominent international, 31-year-old German outside hitter Christian Fromm.

A bronze medallist at the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Poland, the German national team captain will provide his new teammates at Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia with a wealth of experience acquired over two decades at clubs in his home country, Italy, Turkey, Poland and, most recently, Greece.

Fromm's arrival follows shortly after the departure of Brazilian outside hitter Douglas Souza from the club. Currently eleventh in the Italian league standings, Vibo Valentia take on Gioiella Prisma Taranto in their next SuperLega match on December 26 and you can watch all the action on Volleyball TV.
