The 20-year-old opposite is currently into his first season as a professional player outside his native Belgium. He moved to Allianz Milan from Greenyard Maaseik in the summer of 2023 in his first transfer abroad. The 2.03m-tall striker quickly impressed the volleyball community in his debut season in the SuperLega Credem Banca and even earned the MVP of the match awards a couple of times. Reggers was also one of Allianz’s key players in that memorable five-set victory in Piacenza that qualified the team to the Coppa Italia Final Four. The squad from Milan has already qualified for the SuperLega quarterfinals. With a leg to go to the end of the regular season, Allianz are seventh in the current standings and have a shot at climbing as far up as fourth place for a better starting position in the playoff bracket.

Young Ferre started gaining international recognition as a youth and junior national team player back in 2020, when he emerged as the best scorer at both the U18 and the U20 CEV European Championships, claiming a Dream Team spot at the latter, where Belgium made the podium with bronze. The following year, Reggers was the best scorer and the best attacker of the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship. He also made his debut with the senior national team in 2021. Already established as a key player of the Red Dragons, he led Belgium’s brilliant performance at the FIVB Road to Paris Volleyball Qualifiers last fall, when the team was only a set away from snatching an Olympic berth, but fell just short of qualifying. Reggers was the best scorer among all participants in the three Olympic qualification tournaments.

“For me, it is a moment of great happiness because this signing means that I will stay in Milan until 2027, and I am convinced that before then I will also learn to speak Italian better. I'm studying...,” Ferre Reggers told powervolleymilano.it. “Joking aside, I'm really excited for the future, even if now the focus is on closing the season, with many important commitments still to be faced, starting with Sunday's match against Perugia.”

“We signed Ferre Reggers before the European Championship last summer, when the whole world noticed him. Today we want him to stay in Milan, at Allianz Milan, with coach Roberto Piazza, to complete his journey as a player and as a man. The Paolo Porro - Ferre Reggers setter-opposite combination will be the main diagonal of Allianz Milan also in the future,” said club president Lucio Fusaro.
