It’s hard to imagine a big sports event without volunteers playing a key role. And to make it the best event ever, volunteers will also play a key role at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Russia 2022.

Volunteers will get an opportunity to practice new skills in an exciting environment. They will also be the first to meet athletes and spectators, helping to bring together the volleyball family during the event.

Volunteers will work with different functional departments and ensure that the tournament is taking place smoothly. Different areas will be operated by volunteers, including language services, assistance to VIPs, spectators and representatives of the media, amongst others.

The Association of Volunteers’ Centres (AVC) is the organisation that will act as a reliable and experienced partner during the tournament. It will select candidates and work closely with regional volunteers’ centres in Russia.

The organising committee of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Russia 2022 has entered into an agreement with the Association of Volunteer Centres, the largest Russian organisation engaged in the development and support of volunteers. It is also the operator of the Volunteer Mobility Programme, which manages costs of volunteers' participation in organising major national and international events.

As part of the preparation for the World Championship, a Volunteer Programme will be implemented in the 10 host cities

Volunteer recruitment will begin in Autumn 2021. More information will be made available across Volleyball World, the Organising Committee's channels and AVC platforms in due course.
