Megabox Ondulati Del Savio Vallefoglia secured a huge victory in the third leg of the second round of the 2025-2026 Lega Femminile Serie A1 Tigotà on Tuesday, continuing their winning streak in the tournament.

The team had a tough matchup with Numia Vero Volley Milano, but brought their best game and took the Supercoppa Italiana champions down, taking the match 3-1 (25-21, 17-25, 25-23, 25-15) and triumphing over their rivals after five consecutive losses.

Undefeated in their last five Italian League matches, Vallefoglia got to 26 points (nine wins, seven losses), solidifying their spot in sixth place. Milano, on the contrary, dropped a spot, going down from fourth to fifth, with 34 points (11 wins, five losses).

Olympic and world champion outside hitter Loveth Omoruyi had her second-most-productive performance of the season and led Vallefoglia to victory with 23 points (22 kills, one ace), taking home the match's MVP award. Albanian opposite Erblira Bici had the exact same scoring production, tallying 21 kills and two aces.

"I'm very happy," Omoruyi said. "I wouldn't say we got into the match expecting a victory like this, but we started very well and gave ourselves a chance from the very first points. I thought they played well, but we did everything right today."

Milano's star opposite Paola Egonu topped all scorers, leaving the court with 26 points (24 kills, two blocks). American outside hitter Khalia Lanier added 16 (all in kills), while Olympic champion middle blocker Anna Danesi registered 13, with eight kills, four blocks and one ace.

Chieri beat Novara and pass Milano

Milano's setback against Vallefoglia benefited Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri '76, which triumphed in the Derby against Igor Gorgonzola Novara, winning 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-12, 25-21), and passed them, getting to fourth place with 35 points (12 wins, four losses). Novara are third, with 37 (13 wins, four losses), but have one more match played.

Hungarian opposite Anett Németh was Chieri's top scorer with 21 points (all in kills), two more than world champion outside hitter Stella Nervini. The MVP award went to Swiss outside hitter Laura Dervisaj-Künzler, who added 17 and had the same production as Novara's top scorer, Russian opposite Tatiana Tolok.

"It was a great gift, not only for the fans, but also for us," Németh reflected. "I thought we played really well and winning the Derby against Novara always feels very good."

Ranked first and second in the standings, Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano and Savino Del Bene Scandicci both played at home and also won on Tuesday. The defending champions swept (25-23, 25-17, 25-19) Omag-Mt San Giovanni In Marignano, while the world champions downed Honda Cuneo Granda Volley also in three sets (25-15, 27-25, 25-13).

The other three matches had Bergamo sweeping (25-23, 25-13, 25-19) Eurotek Laica UYBA Busto Arsizio, Wash4Green Monviso Volley beating Bartoccini-Mc Restauri Perugia also in three sets (25-23, 25-22, 25-20) and Il Bisonte Firenze overcoming CBF Balducci HR Macerata in the tie-breaker (25-23, 12-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-13) on the road.
