Scandicci looking for road win against Milano
Scandicci's task seems even more complicated than Novara's, as the reigning world champions will need to look for a result on the road, facing Milano at the Allianz Cloud on Sunday, at 15:00 (16:00 UTC).
The team had an uncharacteristic, inconsistent performance in the first match of the series and went down 3-0 in front of their home fans last Saturday. Scandicci got some of their confidence back on Thursday, when they defeated Türkiye's Fenerbahçe in the golden set to advance to the CEV Champions League semifinals, and they hope to carry the momentum into Sunday's decisive match.
"We know that in this series, we need to capitalize on every opportunity we have, and we didn't do that in the first match," head coach Marco Gaspari reflected. "Now, we need to approach the second match in an entirely different way. The team is united and determined to go as far as possible in all tournaments."
