The 2025-2026 Lega Femminile Serie A1 Tigotà regular season continues to progress at full pace in the last days of the year, and another leg of matches is set to take place on Tuesday in the country.

After getting on the court on Saturday, the 14 teams that compete in the Italian League are ready to go again in the third leg of the second round, the penultimate scheduled for the 2025 calendar year - the fourth leg will have another six matches on Friday and one on Saturday.

With the top five of Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano, Savino Del Bene Scandicci, Igor Gorgonzola Novara, Numia Vero Volley Milano and Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri '76 well solidified after the conclusion of the first round of the regular season, three duels involving teams in the lower half of the standings have the most potential to cause an impact in the current scenario on Tuesday.

Pushing for a spot in the playoffs, Bergamo and Eurotek Laica UYBA Busto Arsizio meet at 20:30 local time (21:30 UTC) in a match that could boost their hopes of competing in the postseason.

Eight-time national champions Bergamo are currently the first team outside the qualification zone, appearing in ninth place with 16 points (four wins, 11 losses), but a victory could get them into it or at least in a better spot to enter the playoff zone over the next few weeks. To do that, however, they will need to win after dropping their last three matches.

Busto rank seventh with 20 points (six wins, nine losses) and are guaranteed to end the day inside the qualification zone. A positive result on the road against Bergamo would, however, not only increase their separation from the teams looking to take their spot, but also get them closer to catching Megabox Ondulati Del Savio Vallefoglia in sixth place - they have 23 points, with eight wins and seven losses.

"I expect a tough match, because Bergamo are right below us and will want to move up," outside hitter Alessia Gennari said. "They had some issues at the start of the season, but are a good team, and we'll need to play our best game to win the match."

Another encounter with the potential to alter the playoff scenario will have eighth-placed CBF Balducci HR Macerata hosting 11th-placed Il Bisonte Firenze, also at 20:30 (21:30 UTC). The teams are separated by just three points (Macerata have 16 and Firenze 13), and the visiting side could enter the qualification zone for the playoffs if they pull a win on the road.

Monviso and Perugia battle against relegation

Looking further down in the standings, Wash4Green Monviso Volley and Bartoccini-Mc Restauri Perugia feature in what could be a pivotal match concerning the relegation scenario in the Italian League at 20:30 (21:30 UTC) - Monviso are currently the first team outside the relegation zone, appering in 12th place, with 12 points (four wins, 12 losses), while Perugia are the first team inside it, ranking 13th, with 11 (four wins, 11 losses). With that, the losers are guaranteed to end the day with the threat of relegation still very much present.

Four other matches are scheduled for the evening. The first of them starts at 19:30 (20:30 UTC) and will have fifth-placed Chieri hosting third-placed Novara. Half an hour later, sixth-placed Vallefoglia meet fourth-placed Milano.
