The Panthers have triumphed against Busto 32 times in 42 Italian League matches so far, but have the teams' match in the first round of the season, in which they had to fight back after dropping the first two sets, very much alive in their minds.
"It feels like a long time has passed since that match, but it was only a month and a half ago," head coach Daniele Santarelli said. "Their team changed a lot because of Boldini's (Jennifer, setter) injury and are a young and unpredictable team, but we're also a different team now, and we can't make the same mistakes we did in that first match. We have a lot of important matches ahead of us in the next few weeks, and we need results in each of them, so we can't take it easy."
Currently in eighth place in the standings with 12 points (four wins, six losses), Busto are heavily involved in the fight for a spot in the playoffs. They get to Wednesday's encounter after getting back-to-back victories and stopping a three-match winless streak.
