Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano managed to extend their supremacy in the Lega Femminile Serie A1 Tigotà for another season on Wednesday, when they won the 2025-2026 edition of the Italian League and earned their ninth overall and eighth-straight Scudetto.

The Panthers rebounded immediately after missing their first opportunity to end their best-of-five series against Numia Vero Volley Milano on Saturday and ignored their opponents' homecourt advantage to clinch the title with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-22) victory at the Allianz Cloud in the fourth match of the series that ended 3-1 in their favor.

Part of the Italian elite since 2012-2013, Conegliano now have an impressive nine titles in 13 appearances, with victories earned in 2015-2016, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.

The team's performance in the last 14 years, one of the most dominant at the club level in volleyball history, has now made Conegliano rank second among the most successful teams in the Italian League with nine titles, only two short of Teodora Pallavolo Ravenna, who lifted the trophy 11 consecutive times between 1980 and 1991. Since the start of the project, in 2012-2013, the Panthers have won a whopping 31 trophies.

"I'm so, so happy," said setter and team captain Joanna Wołosz. "We have done so many amazing things. Today we showed again that when we play at our best level, we're very strong. I'm very proud of the entire squad for everything each of them did."

Their ninth Italian League victory, however, comes in a somewhat slow season to Conegliano's standards. The team, which won every tournament played in both 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, finished second at both the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship and the Supercoppa Italiana in 2025-2026 before winning the Coppa Italia and the Italian League. Set to appear in the CEV Champions League Final Four at the start of May, they can add yet another trophy to their cabinet before the end of the season.

The most recognizable face in the team's 14 years of glory, star libero Monica De Gennaro, an Olympic and world champion with the Italian national team, is the only player to have participated in each of its nine victories - she joined in 2013-2014. Her husband, head coach Daniele Santarelli, has also been a part of all of their domestic victories, having served as an assistant in 2015-2016.

Haak earns the Finals MVP award

Swedish star opposite Isabelle Haak was Conegliano's most productive player in the match in which they clinched the title, registering a team-high 19 points (18 kills, one ace). With 96 points amassed in the four matches of the series, she earned the Finals MVP award.

"I have to thank my team, the club, the staff and the fans," she said. "I'm very happy and proud of the team. The Finals are always difficult, and we didn't play in the way we wanted in the third match. But today it was much better, we were aggressive and played with joy, and I'm happy that we did it."

Other standouts in the team's third victory over Milano were Brazilian star outside hitter Gabriela 'Gabi' Guimarães, who contributed 11 points (all in kills) and Olympic and world champion middle blocker Sarah Fahr, who added eight, with seven kills and a block.

Star opposite Paola Egonu tallied 24 points (all in kills) and was the top scorer for Milano, who continue to chase their first Italian title after finishing second to Conegliano in four of the last five seasons.
