There's a small but important core of players from last season that carry on this year, such as setter Alessia Orro, middle blocker Anna Danesi and libero Beatrice Parrocchiale - all crowned European champions last month with Italy's national team.
Around these, Monza will build their new team as they usher in a new era for the club as they also make their European Champions League debut this season after having won the lower-tier continental club competitions of Challenger Cup in 2019 and CEV Cup in 2021.
Opposite Lise Van Hecke of Belgium also carries on from last season.
Most prominent arrivals are Serbia's up-and-coming outside hitter Katarina Lazovic who moved this year from Poland to join Monza, alongside Poland opposite Magdalena Styziak who transferred from Scandicci.
But Serbia's Brankica Mihajlovic on the outside is also another huge addition after she moved from Turkey's Fenerbahce Istanbul.
Also new on the outside are Alessia Gennari - yet another of Italy's 2021 European champions - and Cyprus' middle blocker Katerina Zakchaiou who transferred from Cuneo.
The Italian Women's League begins on 10 October (with Monza playing away to Unet E-Work Busto Arsizion on the opening day). The Regular Season is set to complete on 3 April 2022, ahead of the Playoffs.
