Savino Del Bene Scandicci defeated VBC Trasporti Pesanti Casalmaggiore 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-15) on Wednesday and moved into second spot in the Lega Pallavolo Serie A1 Femminile standings.

What the coaches said:

Massimo Barbolini (Savino Del Bene Scandicci): “In the first two sets, we suffered up to halfway point. Then we found the right place. In the end we managed to find the rhythm and close the third set easily. We certainly need to improve and Sunday's match against Cuneo can be a good test. It is not easy to play many games in a short time and we know that Cuneo will be a high-level opponent. We won the first leg by playing a good match, but we will have to be concentrated."

Martino Volpini (VBC Trasporti Pesanti Casalmaggiore): “Beyond the result, we took a step forward compared to Novara. We faced another strong team and raised the level of our defence wall. We have to grow further. I repurposed some things in the team, but above all I congratulated them because in two days we raised our desire to stay on the pitch, to fight and to play. We have to work, we know, but we will face Rome convinced that we have raised our level."
