Cristina Chirichella hits the ball over the block of Trentino's Rebecca Piva as she leads Novara to yet another win in the Italian league.

Captain Cristina Chirichella attacked for 62% (8/13) and added two blocks and an ace for a total 11 points to be named MVP of the match as she led Igor Gorgonozola Novara to a quick 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-13) sweep of bottom-of-the-table Delta Despar Trentino at home before 1,300 fans in Round 11 of the Italian women's league.

Turkey's Ebrar Karakurt with 12 points was top scorer of the game as Novara have now closed in within three points of table leaders Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano - with a match to spare.

Defending champions Conegliano will play their own Round 11 match against Il Bisonte of Florence (the side that brought an end to their world record winning streak earlier this month) in March 2022.

Conegliano are on their way to Ankara, where they will defend their title at the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.
