In front of 2,500 spectators, Brazil’s Sada Cruzeiro Volei Belo Horizonte defeated Argentina’s Ciudad Voley Buenos Aires in Friday’s South American Men’s Club Championship final as both teams booked their spots at the 2024 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship in India.

One of the most decorated clubs in the history of the Club World Championships, Sada Cruzeiro will return to the competition for the 12th consecutive time. In the 11 previous appearances, they have not been on the podium only three times, while collecting four golds (2013, 2015, 2016 and 2021), two silvers (2012, 2019) and two bronzes (2017, 2022). It was the eighth back-to-back and 10th overall time they win the South American Club Championship.

Continental runners-up Ciudad Voley, on the other hand, are set to compete at the Club Worlds for the first time, after claiming their first South American Club Championship medal.
