After winning their first two Big Ten women’s volleyball matches in program history last week, Washington is one of the attractions of VBTV in the second week of Conference play, which will have matches taking place from Wednesday to Sunday.

The Huskies, who are one of four teams to have joined the Big Ten this season, will face one of the conference’s most successful programs, nine-time champions Wisconsin, on Sunday, at 13:00 local time (18:00 GMT), on the road, on one of three matches streamed live for VBTV subscribers around the world this week.

Washington are, in fact, the only one among the 18 Big Ten teams to remain undefeated at this point of the season as the program from Seattle has 12 wins in as many matches. Their last two successes came at the start of conference play last week, when the Huskies got home sweeps against Indiana and Illinois. This week, before facing Wisconsin on Sunday, they will visit Iowa on Friday, at 20:00 local time (1:00 GMT, Saturday).

Junior outside hitter Audra Wilmes, who scored 24 points across the two matches, and junior setter Molly Wilson, who produced 50 assists, were among the team’s standouts in their first week as a Big Ten program.

Their opponents Wisconsin were on the road last week and got mixed results, falling to Minnesota and beating Northwestern. Before playing Washington, they will play another road match, against Rutgers, on Wednesday, at 19:30 local time (0:30 GMT, Thursday). Fifth-year outside hitter Sarah Franklin scored 36 points across both matches and had remarkable performances in the first week of action.

Friday’s match between UCLA and Minnesota will also be streamed live on VBTV for subscribers around the world – the duel begins at 19:00 local time (2:00 GMT, Saturday). The two teams had similar outcomes in the opening week, getting one win and one loss.

The third match available worldwide on VBTV this week will feature Illinois and Northwestern, on Sunday, at 13:00 local time (18:00 GMT). The Fighting Illini will be looking for their first victory after dropping their first two matches last week, while the Wildcats had one win and one loss in their first Big Ten conference matches.
