The club volleyball season continues at full pace around the world and there’s a lot to look out for in different leagues for the next seven days. In Italy, the regular season is coming to an end as teams make a final push to get a spot in the playoffs, improve their raking ahead of the postseason or even avoid relegation.

Here’s what to look out for from March 1-7 in volleyball

In other countries such as the Rupay Prime Volleyball League Powered by A23 in India, Germany and Argentina, teams are already entering the final stage of their national leagues and have no more room for errors. Also, keep an eye out for some exciting matchups in the playoffs of the CEV Champions League.
Here’s your guide to the top matches in international volleyball this week:
Wednesday
Rupay Prime Volleyball League Powered by A23: Mumbai Meteors vs. Kochi Blue Spikers – 19:00 local time (13:30 UTC)
A critical match is set to take place on the penultimate day of India’s RuPay Prime Volleyball League powered by A23’s regular season in Kochi with first-year Mumbai Meteors still vying for a spot in the semifinals. They will play the eliminated Kochi Blue Spikers and need a 5-0 whitewash in order to collect all three points in play and keep their hopes of making it to the semifinals of the tournament alive.
Thursday
CEV Women’s Champions League
The playoff round of the CEV Women’s Champions League will come to an end, with two duels determining the last two teams that will advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament. At 18:30 local time (16:30 UTC), Türkiye’s Fenerbahce Opet will host Poland’s Grupa Azoty Chemik Police in Istanbul – the Turkish won 3-2 in the first leg at the end of February. Later, at 20:00 local time (19:00 UTC), another Polish team, the Developres Rzesźow, will count on the support of their fans to turn the tables against France’s Volero Le Cannet, who won the first encounter between the teams 3-0.

Friday
German Men’s Bundesliga - SWD Powevolleys Düren vs. BR Volleys – 19:30 local time (18:30 UTC)
Less than a week after they clashed in the final of the German Cup, SWD Powevolleys Düren and BR Volleys will meet in the first match of the second leg of the country’s Bundesliga’s Final Four. Volleys, who lifted the German Cup on Sunday, sit at the top of the standings with two wins and a loss while Düren are third with one victory and two setbacks. The side from Berlin has been dominant recently, winning eight of the last ten encounters between the teams.
Saturday
SuperLega Credem Banca: Cucine Lube Civitanova vs. Allianz Milano – 18:00 local time (17:00 UTC)
The first two matches of the weekend in the SuperLega Credem Banca will take place on Saturday and, in one of them, Allianz Milano could secure their spot in the playoffs of the Italian League. Currently ranked 8th in the standings with 27 points, they need to defeat defending champions Cucine Lube Civitanova on the road to guarantee they will finish ahead of ninth-placed Top Volley Cisterna at the end of the regular season, on March 12. Lube, on the other hand, count on a win against Milano to try to improve from fourth to second place ahead of the playoffs.
Sunday
Lega Pallavolo Serie A1 Femminile: Vero Volley Milano vs. Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano – 20:30 local time (19:30 UTC)
A full round of matches is set to take place in the Lega Pallavolo Serie A1 Femminile and the duel between third-placed Vero Volley Milano and leaders and defending champions Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano is the most exciting one to follow. The teams have played each other in the final of last year’s Italian League and this year’s Coppa Italia, with world champions Conegliano coming out on top on both occasions.
Monday
Argentinean Men’s League
The playoffs of the Argentinean Men’s League begin in Bariloche and the two main title contenders will be on the court. Regular season leaders Ciudad Voley, who have Tokyo Olympic medallist Facundo Conte as their main star, will face Once Unidos while defending champions UPCN Voley, who were the only team to beat Ciudad in the regular season and count on rising star outside hitter Manuel Armoa, face River Plate.
Tuesday
CEV Men’s Champions League
The quarterfinal round of the CEV Men’s Champions League begins, with the first of the two legs of a pair of duels involving Italian teams. Cucine Lube Civitanova will be on the road at 19:00 local time (16:00 UTC) against Türkiye’s Halkbank Ankara. Later, at 20:30 local time (19:30 UTC), Itas Trentino will challenge defending champions Grupa Azoty ‘Zaksa’ Kędzierzyn-Koźle of Poland.
