Men’s and women’s teams from the continent’s Western Zone will be in competition from Tuesday to Saturday at the Al-Gharafa Sports Club and among them will be Qatar’s Olympic bronze medallists Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan. Jordan, Libya and Qatar will compete among the women while the men’s tournament will feature teams from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Palestine and hosts Qatar.

Women’s CEV Volleyball Cup
Two quarterfinal duels of the Women’s CEV Volleyball Cup are set to begin on Wednesday. In one of them, set to begin at 18:00 local time (17:00 UTC), Romania’s C.S.M. Targoviste will play against Greece’s Olympiakos Piraeus. Later, at 19:00 local time (18:00 UTC), will battle Romania’s CS Volei Alba Blaj and Poland’s Budowlani Łodź.
