Berlin Recycling celebrate their seventh consecutive Bundesliga title (Photo: BR Volleys)

National volleyball champions continue to be crowned around the world and this week it was time for Germany and Brazil to do so. The European nation saw the seventh-straight victory of Berlin Recycling Volleys in the Men’s Bundesliga, while in South America Dentil Praia Clube lifted the Women’s Superliga trophy for the second time.

Other leagues are close to doing the same and that’s the case in Italy, where Itas Trentino managed to build a 2-1 lead over Cucine Lube Civitanova in the SuperLega Credem Banca Finals and Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano started ahead of Vero Volley Milano in the best-of-five series that will determine the Lega Pallavolo Serie A1 Femminile champions.

National league finals are also underway in Poland, where Jastrzebski Wegiel lead Grupa Azoty ‘Zaksa’ Kędzierzyn-Koźle 2-0 in the men’s tournament, and Türkiye, where Fenerbahçe Opet took the first match of the women’s finals against Eczacibasi Dynavit.

As the summer approaches, national beach volleyball tours start to take place around Europe and this weekend it was time for Austria to get its season going with an event in Neusiedl.
