The women’s tournament will feature 64 duos from 40 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and Division II programs and will run for three days, starting with pool play on Friday and continuing with elimination rounds on Saturday and Sunday.

Some of the most successful women’s programs in the country will be represented, such as five-time national champions University of South California (USC), two-time winners University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA), Florida State University (FSU), Loyola Marymount University (LMU) and Louisiana State University (LSU).

These programs have developed most of the top American players competing on the Beach Pro Tour now, such as world champions Kelly Cheng and Sarah Hughes (USC), World Championships bronze medalists Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss (LSU), Tokyo Olympian Sarah Sponcil (UCLA) and defender Betsi Flint (LMU).

Men's tournament features five teams

The men’s event will feature five colleges and will be played in a team vs. team format, with series of best-of-five matches between them. The schedule will be run from Saturday to Sunday and will feature players from Westcliff University, Tusculum University, Webber International University, Stevenson University and Lincoln Memorial University.

Serbian Djordje Klasnic, who took gold at last year’s Beach Pro Tour Balikesir Futures, is a member of Westcliff’s program.

Held in November 2022 in Huntsville, the inaugural edition of the tournament had LSU as the women’s champions and Westcliff as the men’s winners.

VBTV will be streaming the event as part of the recently announced expanded partnership between Volleyball World and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
