VBTV releases ‘Gabi – Destined to Shine, Built to Inspire’ docuseries

One of the stars of the Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano team that won everything in the 2024-2025 club season, Brazilian national team captain Gabriela ‘Gabi’ Guimarães is the subject of Volleyball World’s latest original docuseries.

Set to premiere on May 23 on VBTV, ‘Gabi - Destined to Shine, Built to Inspire’ will offer exclusive access to the life and the career of the 31-year-old star outside hitter, one of the most inspiring and accomplished athletes of her generation.

From her early days growing up in Brazil to the start of her career and her rise to become the Brazilian national team captain, the docuseries will take viewers deep into her journey, capturing raw moments behind her achievements: the sacrifices, doubts, setbacks, and inner strength that have defined her path.

Through Gabi’s reflections, exclusive interviews with those closest to her and never-before-seen footage, the series will show a side of Gabi rarely seen in public and help fans understand what’s behind the player who became a voice for women in sport, a leader on and off the court, and a symbol of perseverance, humility, and ambition.

Visually powerful and emotionally resonant, ‘Gabi – Destined to Shine, Built to Inspire’ is more than a portrait of an athlete; it's a story of growth, resilience, and purpose that transcends sport.

The docuseries is split into six episodes, and all of them will be available on May 23:
