A perfect performance in the fourth week of the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation League season, which resulted in two more victories, took the Vegas Thrill to the top of the standings in the American tournament.

The team from Nevada played home twice and secured wins over the Indy Ignite and the Atlanta Vibe and moved up from second to first, passing the team from Indiana to take control of the league, with six victories and two losses.

The week started for the Thrill with a direct duel against the Ignite on Friday and the team played (and won) their fourth five-setter of the season, coming back from a two-set deficit to take the then-leaders down 3-2 (18-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-12, 15-9) and jump to first place.

The Thrill relied on their outside hitters to beat the Ignite, as Hanna Maddux led the team with 18 points (15 kills, two blocks, one ace), followed by Camryn Hannah, who added 17, with 16 kills and one block. Serbian outside hitter Nina Čajić scored 16 points (14 kills, one block, one ace) for the Ignite.

On Sunday, the Thrill returned to the Lee’s Family Forum and dropped one set, but overcame the Vibe 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 25-19) to retain their spot at the top of the standings.

Rise win two matches and gain three spots

The Grand Rapids Rise were the only other team to go undefeated over the week and their back-to-back victories took them from seventh to fourth place, elevating their season record to four wins and three losses.

The Rise played their first match of the week at home on Thursday, when they needed all five sets to beat the Orlando Valkyries 3-2 (24-26, 25-15, 17-25, 25-18, 15-12). On Sunday, they delivered their home fans another victory, topping the San Diego Mojo 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-22).

The fourth week of matches of the Pro Volleyball Federation also had the Vibe beating the Mojo 3-1 (25-15, 24-26, 25-17, 25-20) on Thursday, the Omaha Supernovas defeating the Columbus Fury 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-17) on Friday and falling to the Valkyries 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-20) on Sunday and the Ignite overcoming the Fury 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-17) on Sunday.

After the first four weeks of action, the Thrill (6-2) sit at the top of the standings, followed by the Ignite (5-2), the Vibe (4-3), the Rise (4-3), the Supernovas (4-3), the Valkyries (3-4), the Mojo (3-4) and the Fury (0-7).

The fifth week of the season will have six matches, with two duels happening on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
