Lausanne, Switzerland, 24th August 2026: Today, the fourth episode of Rotations, the exclusive interview series hosted by Brazilian volleyball legend Bruno Rezende, featuring Italian star Alessandro Michieletto, has been released. Filmed on Italy’s Adriatic Coast, the episode sees Bruno meet Michieletto in Cervia, a place close to his own heart after spending time there during VNL in 2021, when Brazil went on to claim the title. The conversation explores Michieletto’s volleyball roots, the influence of his family, his development from a young player into a national team leader and the experiences that have shaped him both on and off the court.
The episode also brings the relationship between the two generations of volleyball to life, with Bruno recalling Michieletto’s father from his time playing in Parma and Alessandro remembering accompanying him to training in Trento. Their shared history creates a familiar and playful dynamic throughout the conversation, with the pair reflecting on their experiences of competing against one another and the people who have influenced their careers.
As Michieletto’s career has developed, so too has his understanding of himself as a player. Reflecting on his younger years, he admits that he could be a “knucklehead” on the court but explains how experience has helped him become more conscious of his behaviour and the responsibility that comes with being a leader. That evolution has become particularly important when representing Italy, where he describes a different level of emotion and pressure.
