The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships are heading exclusively to Adelaide, Australia in spring next year for their first time in the southern hemisphere.
Volleyball Australia, together with the FIVB and Volleyball World, announced that the event will be held from Friday, November 14, to Sunday, November 23, 2025, creating 10 days of world-class beach volleyball action in the heart of Adelaide.

Following the Paris Olympic Games, where beach volleyball will be held under the Eiffel Tower, the next biggest event will be the World Championships with more than 90 men’s and women’s teams expected to attend.
The Adelaide 2025 Beach Volleyball World Championships will take over the northern riverbank, with thousands of fans enjoying the competitions and beach festival across Pinky Flat, The Drive and Torrens Parade ground.
The Drive Centre Court will host feature matches during the day and night time sessions including Australian team matches as well as the women’s and men’s medal matches on Saturday, November 22, and Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Beach volleyball is incredibly popular worldwide, and I am confident that the beautiful southern city of Adelaide will be a fantastic host for our prestigious tournament! Australia is a natural fit for beach volleyball and has the experience needed to ensure a great celebration of our sport in 2025.”
Adelaide 2025 Beach Volleyball World Championships CEO Jenny Mann said preparations are underway to welcome the world to Adelaide in November 2025.
“In just over a month, the world’s best will be competing at the Paris Olympic Games, and then the next stop is Adelaide, South Australia. We are excited to welcome Olympians and over 190 of the world’s top players to Adelaide next year representing an anticipated 50 nations,” said Mann.
“Sports fans from across South Australia, the nation and indeed the globe will be out and about in Adelaide’s spring weather experiencing a celebration of world-class beach volleyball in the heart of the city, which is well-known for delivering incredible sporting events.”
“Beach volleyball boasts top female and male competitors and worldwide popularity from all parts of the globe. We expect to have Australia’s multicultural community out in force to support the competing nations including Brazil, China, Italy, India and Spain, to name a few,” she said.
The Championships are supported by the South Australian Tourism Commission as the Official Destination Partner.
