The Brazilian Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Superliga is the latest exciting addition to VBTV’s ever-growing portfolio as, starting on Monday, February 26, subscribers based in the South American country will have access to the league’s matches with Portuguese commentary.

The matches broadcasted by popular sports cable channel SporTV will now also be available for VBTV subscribers in the platform, thanks to the recently-announced four-year extension in the partnership between Volleyball World and Globo, the largest communication company in Brazil and Latin America.

Besides the Superliga, VBTV subscribers can also watch live or on demand the men’s and women’s Italian Leagues, India’s RuPay Prime Volleyball League and the American NCAA Big Ten encounters, as well as the major international volleyball and beach volleyball events, such as the Volleyball Nations League and the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour.

The current edition of the Superliga, which features 12 teams in each gender, started in November and is currently entering the final stretch of the regular season, with 17 out of 22 regular season matches completed for the women and 16 for the men – the top eight teams in each gender will advance to the playoffs.

First established in the 1994-1995 season, the Brazilian Superliga is one of the most competitive and traditional national leagues on the planet, featuring past and current Brazilian national team players in its teams.

The 2023-2024 season counts on five Olympic champions in the men’s tournament – Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei’s Wallace de Souza and Lucas Saatkamp, Farma Conde Vôlei São José’s Douglas Souza, SESI-SP’s Eder Carbonera and Vôlei Renata/Campinas’ Mauricio Borges.

Brazil national team players such as Darlan de Souza (SESI-SP), Maique Nascimento (Itambé Minas) and Judson Nunes (Suzano Vôlei) are also in action, as well as international stars like Cuba’s Miguel Angel López (Sada Cruzeiro) and Argentina’s Bruno Lima (Campinas).
