Lube dominate Men’s Club World Championship’s Dream Team

Betim, Brazil, December 8, 2019 – It was not just the trophy of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship that Cucine Lube Civitanova took home. The Italian team's players also secured most of the individual awards on offer in Betim, Brazil.

The Italian powerhouse had the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, setter Bruno Rezende, who was joined by three of his teammates in this edition’s Dream Team - outside hitter Osmany Juantorena, who’s now a five-time world champion, middle-blocker Robertlandy Simon and libero Fabio Balaso.

The Rio 2016 Olympic champion, though, had a true sportsman's attitude as he called teammate Yoandy Leal to the podium and offered the MVP award to the Cuban-born outside hitter. Bruno and Leal are also teammates in the Brazilian national team that won the 2019 World Cup less than two months ago.

Five Lube Civitanova players are joined by Zenit Kazan's Artem Volvich and Sada Cruzeiro's Evandro Guerra and Facundo Conte

The Men’s Club World Championship Dream Team also featured Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei’s outside hitter Facundo Conte and opposite Evandro Guerra and Zenit Kazan’s middle-blocker Artem Volvich.
