Chicago, USA, July 18, 2019 - The 2019 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League ended with a bang as Russia claimed victory against hosts USA to win their second title in the FIVB's flagship annual competition. Russia began the 2019 VNL Finals with a victory against France and a loss to USA in the pool stage. In the semifinals, they defeated European rivals Poland before again playing the hosts in the final, but this time claiming a positive outcome. Four Russia players scored in double digits in the final against the United States including Dmitry Volkov (17 points), Egor Kliuka (15), Ivan Iakovlev (11) and Victor Poletaev (11).
