Natural from Rio de Janeiro, the opposite spiker started his career in volleyball at Botafogo. Soon afterwards he moved to Sada Cruzeiro, where he spent most of his career. There, he helped in the conquest of several titles, such as the Copa Banco do Brasil, the Campeonato Mineiro, Superliga, South American Club Championship and FIVB World Club Championship. In the 17/18 season, he was hired by Sesi-SP, where he had the opportunity to play the entire Superliga Cimed as a starter. He went through all the young categories of the Brazilian team, being U-23 world champion, in 2013, in Uberlândia (MG). In the year 2018, Alan was called for the head coach Renan to play the classification round of the Volleyball Nations League.
