FIVB mourns passing of the Argentine Volleyball Federation President Juan Galeote

 

The FIVB is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr Juan Galeote, the President of the Argentine Volleyball Federation (FeVA).

A devoted sports administrator in South America, Mr Galeote worked tirelessly to develop volleyball, and was the President of the San Juan Province Volleyball Federation and FeVA, which he was elected to lead in 2020. He was also a Member of the South American Volleyball Confederation (CSV) Development Commission and the President of the Sports Confederation San Juan Province.

FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° said:

“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Juan Galeote. He was respected by the entire Volleyball Family, and our deepest sympathies are with his family, loved ones and the Argentina’s volleyball community in what is an incredibly difficult time.

“Mr Galeote dedicated much of his life to developing volleyball in Argentina from the grassroots through to the national teams. He was a hard worker who served volleyball for many years, and he will be missed dearly.”

The FIVB and the global Volleyball Family extends its deepest condolences to Mr Juan Galeote’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.
