Regulars on the FIVB World Tour since 2008, Fijalek and Prudel have steadily climbed up the world rankings and currently enter the 2015 FIVB World Championships as the fourth-seeded team. The Netherlands proved to be record-setting site for the Polish Beach Volleyball efforts the past few years as Fijalek and Prudel captured the country’s first-ever world tour title in The Hague last season where the Poles upset Americans Phil Dalhausser and Sean Rosenthal in the finals. Entering the 2015 season, Fijalek and Prudel have combined for eight podium placements, 13 “final four” finishes and 196 match wins (62 winning percentage) since forming their partnership in 2008. The Poles placed fifth (Rome) and 17th (Stare Jablonki) in the last two World Championships. Fijalek and Michal Matyja placed third in the 2005 under-19 World Championships where the Poles defeated Germans Jonathan Erdmann and Stefan Windscheif for the bronze medal. Prudel was honored as the world tour’s most improved player in 2011.
