The 2024 FIVB Beach Volleyball U19 World Championships start with a one-day single-elimination qualification tournament with a maximum of 24 teams per gender to qualify four teams to the main draw and fill any main draw vacancies that resulted from main draw team withdrawals.
In each gender, a 32-team main draw starts with a pool stage, in which the teams are split into eight single round-robin pools of four. The top three from each pool’s final standings progress to the single-elimination stage.
The eight pool winners advance directly to the eighthfinals.
The eight pool runners-up and the eight third-placed teams in the pools advance to a sixteenthfinal round (round of 24) to determine the remaining eight eighthfinalists.
The eight winners of the eighthfinals qualify for the quarterfinals.
The four winners of the quarterfinals qualify for the semifinals.
The two winners of the semifinals qualify for the final to distribute the gold and the silver medals.
The two losers of the semifinals move on to the third-place match to compete for the bronze medal.
