USA’s Haleigh Washington donates her shoes and uniform to the Olympic Museum

Several volleyball and beach volleyball stars who played a major role in their Paris 2024 Olympic competitions donated parts of their competition apparel to the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland to become part of their stunning collection of athletes’ equipment, audio-visual archives, and other memorabilia as momentous heritage from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Indoor Olympic champions Jenia Grebennikov of France and Paola Egonu of Italy, the Most Valuable Player of the women’s volleyball event, handed in their autographed Olympic jerseys. So did bronze medallist Micah Christenson of the United States and semifinalist Eda Erdem of Türkiye.

Olympic silver medallist Bartosz Kurek of Poland and bronze medallist Gabriela Guimaraes (Gabi) of Brazil donated their signed shoes, while another silver medallist, USA’s Haleigh Washington, gifted both her uniform and her shoes to the Olympic Museum.

Three of the finalists of the women’s beach volleyball tournament at Paris 2024 also joined the campaign. Olympic champion Eduarda Santos Lisboa (Duda) of Brazil was happy to part with her top and shorts. Canada’s Melissa Humana-Paredes & Brandie Wilkerson, who won the silver medals, gave away their jerseys and leggings.
