Netherlands’ Nigella Negenman & Floor Hogenhout, who started playing together on the Tour in May, made their second (consecutive) Beach Pro Tour podium, after snatching bronze at the Balikesir Futures the previous week. The second-seeded Dutch duo did not drop a single set in the five matches they played in Rzeszow. In the semifinals, Negenman & Hogenhout celebrated a 2-0 (21-17, 21-19) win over sixth-seeded Finns Anniina Parkkinen & Valma Prihti, and in the gold medal showdown, the Dutch outlasted 10th-seeded Julia Kielak & Zuzanna Kudlik of Poland for a tight 2-0 (24-22, 21-19) victory.

22-year-old Kielak and 19-year-old Kudlik lost only two of their six matches in Rzeszow, both to eventual champions Negenman & Hogenhout. In their semifinal, the home pair battled it out for a nail-biting 2-1 (21-18, 14-21, 17-15) win over another Dutch opponent – 10th-seeded Tess Spaansen & Trijntje Veerbeek – to secure their first-ever Beach Pro Tour medal.

Parkkinen & Prihti bounced back from the only loss they suffered in the tournament with a hard-fought 2-1 (21-17, 17-21, 15-13) victory over Spaansen & Veerbeek in the third-place game to claim the bronze, their second Beach Pro Tour medal, after the Nuvali Challenge gold in 2025.

In the men’s competition, home favorites Aleksander Czachorowski & Jakub Krzeminski lost the Pool A final, but won all of their remaining matches to collect their second back-to-back Beach Pro Tour gold, after their triumph at the Bridlington Futures the previous week. Earlier this season, the Polish duo also picked up Futures silver in Krakow and bronze in Sanya. In the semifinals, the bracket leaders hammered out a 2-0 (21-12, 21-18) shutout of 11th-seeded Swedes Martin Appelgren & Fabian Ramen, and in the final, they squeezed out a dramatic 2-1 (21-19, 16-21, 18-16) victory over Ivan Datsiuk & Oleksii Bublyk.

The third-seeded Ukrainians brough home silver, their third consecutive and fourth overall medal on the Beach Pro Tour without losing any sets on the way to the final. In their semifinal, they mastered a 2-0 (21-13, 21-18) win over Slovenian qualifiers Alan Kosenina & Crtomir Bosnjak. At their previous two appearances on the Tour, Datsiuk & Bublyk picked up Krakow Futures gold and Jurmala Futures bronze.

Kosenina & Bosnjak travelled all the way from the qualifications to their first Beach Pro Tour podium, winning six of their eight matches. Seeded 16th in the 16-team main draw, the Slovenians lost their opening pool match to top-seeded champions-to-be Czachorowski & Krzeminski, but then went on a winning quest to reach the semis. In the end, they recovered from the setback against Datsiuk & Bublyk with a 2-0 (26-24, 21-15) sweep of the bronze medal match against Appelgren & Ramen.

25 women’s and 26 men’s pairs representing 22 different federations took part in the Rzeszow Futures.

The next Futures stops on the Beach Pro Tour will be held in Sibiu, Romania, in Malmo, Sweden, and in Leuven, Belgium from July 9 to 12.
