Beach Pro Tour João Pessoa Elite - Match Schedule & Results

The winners of last year's João Pessoa Elite, Paris Olympians Evandro and Arthur are looking to return to the top of the podium in the capital of the Paraíba state six months after their last victory.

The only home team still standing, they had to play six sets on Saturday to make it to the last day of matches, beating Australian Olympians Izac Carracher and Mark Nicolaidis 2-1 (21-15, 18-21, 15-13) in the Round of 16 and repeating the three-set (22-20, 18-21, 15-13) victory against Austrians Philipp Waller and Moritz Pristauz in the quarterfinals.

Daubas and Aye, who became partners at the end of 2024 and earned silver in João Pessoa last year, their only medal at the Elite level, are back in the Final Four in the Brazilian city after sweeping (21-16, 21-17) the Argentine Capogrosso brothers Nicolás and Tomas in the Round of 16 and earning another two-set (21-19, 21-17) victory over Austrian up-and-comers Tim Berger and Timo Hammarberg in the quarterfinals.

Åhman/Hellvig go for second João Pessoa gold

Like Evandro and Arthur, reigning Olympic and world champions Åhman and Hellvig have already made it to the top of the podium in João Pessoa before. The Swedish jump-setters triumphed in the city in 2023 and will try to do it again three years later.

The Europeans were dominant on Saturday, beating Brazilian qualifiers Adelmo Folha and Mateus Dultra in straight sets (21-11, 21-12) in the Round of 16 and repeating the two-set (21-15, 21-16) victory against French Elouan Chouikh-Barbez and Joadel Gardoque in the quarterfinals.
