Talita/Taiana and Thainara/Simonetti will play first, at 11:00 local time (14:00 UTC), with Thâmela/Victoria and Carol/Rebecca meeting one hour later. The winners will return to the sand to fight for gold in the final, at 18:00 (21:00 UTC), with the losers going for bronze two hours earlier.
This is just the second time in Beach Pro Tour history that a country manages to have all four teams in the semifinals of an Elite event. That only happened before in Uberlândia, in 2022, when Brazil dominated the Final Four on the women's side - on the occasion, Carol took bronze with Bárbara Seixas, while Taiana finished fourth with Hegeile 'Hegê' Almeida.
The first semifinal will feature a massive generational battle in Brazilian women's beach volleyball, as while the 43-year-old Talita and the 41-year-old Taiana combine for 360 international events of experience, the 24-year-old Thainara and the 27-year-old Simonetti have only 26 appearances between them.
Talita and Taiana, who have played in 47 international events together and made 16 semifinal appearances, defeated two other teams from Brazil on Saturday to make it to the Final Four in Itapema, taking Thâmela and Victoria down 2-1 (23-21, 19-21, 15-7) in the Round of 12 and sweeping (21-15, 21-16) Verena Oliveira and Kyce Silva in the quarterfinals.
