A new team on the Beach Pro Tour, Kylie Deberg and Xolani Hodel overcame the qualifier in their second tournament as partners, after going down in Montréal. On Wednesday, the Americans faced Germans Hanna-Marie Schieder and Tabea Schwarz and prevailed in the tie-breaker (17-21, 21-17, 15-11).

Brook Bauer and Madelyne Anderson also needed three sets to confirm their presence in the main draw in Germany as they met Japanese Asami Shiba and Reika Murakami and won 2-1 (17-21,21-16, 15-13). The result will take the Americans to playing in the main draw of an Elite event for the first time since March, when they qualified in Quintana Roo.

The third American team to qualify, Hailey Harward and Molly Phillips had the smoothest ride of all of them, taking Dutch Lisa Luini and Desy Poiesz down in straight sets (21-15, 21-17) in their lone qualifier match on Wednesday. With that, they will return to the main draw of an Elite event after failing to qualify in Gstaad and Montréal.

Dutch Mila Konink and Raisa Schoon also denied a German team a spot in the main draw, earning a forfeit victory against Sandra Otte and Annalena Richter.

Also playing in the main draw in Hamburg this week will be Estonians Heleene Hollas and Liisa Remmelg, who defeated the Ukrainian Makhno twins Inna and Iryna 2-0 (21-19, 21-17), French Olympians Lézana Placette and Alexia Richard, who eliminated Lithuanians Ieva Dumbauskaite and Gerda Grudzinskaite in straight sets (21-13, 23-21), and Czechs Martina Maixnerova and Kylie Neuschaeferova, who dominated the Japanese Matsumoto sisters Ren and Non to a two-set (26-24, 21-14) victory on Wednesday.
