One win away from winning their first medal in 2025, Bryl and Łosiak won a pair of matches in front of their home fans on Saturday to get to the semifinals. The Polish started the day in the Round of 24, where they defeated Dutch Matthew Immers and Leon Luini in the tie-breaker (17-21, 21-13, 15-13).

In the Round of 16, they faced Germans Clemens Wickler and Nils Ehlers for the second time in the tournament – the Olympic medalists had topped the Polish in pool play on Friday. This time, Bryl and Łosiak called the shots, triumphing in straight sets (24-22, 21-16).

Also hailing from Germany, their next opponents Henning and Wüst took a different path to the semifinals, sweeping (23-21, 21-17) Canadians Sam Schachter and Jonathan Pickett in the Round of 24 and needing all three sets (21-18, 18-21, 15-12) to overcome Israelis Eylon Elazar and Kevin Cuzmiciov in the Round of 16.

Partners since the last months of 2024, Henning and Wüst are also fighting to win their first medal in the current season – they took silver at the Nuvali Challenge last December.
