The second stop on the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour in May, and also the second Challenge event of the month, is set to take place in Kuşadası, Turkey. The event in Turkey will be the first Beach Pro Tour event in Europe after stops in Mexico, Brazil and Qatar.

A city on Turkey's Aegean coast, Kusadesi is a popular seaside destination located near the classical ruins of Ephesus. Its seafront is packed with hotels and restaurants and also features a promenade, marina and harbour.

Challenge event format:

Teams per gender: 24

Qualification Tournament: Up to 32 teams

First phase: Six pools of four teams each; modified pool play

Second phase: Single elimination bracket

Total matches per gender: 40

Duration: 4 days

Prize purse: USD 150,000 (USD 75,000 per gender)
