Qualified in second place, they will play against the Netherlands, who made it to the Finals as the seventh-best team in the Preliminary Phase.
On the same day, at 19:30 (11:30 GMT), Brazil and Japan will clash for another spot in the semifinals. The South Americans had the third-best campaign after 12 Preliminary Phase matches, while the Asians ranked sixth.
VNL Finals - Match Schedule
Pushing to win the VNL for a second time after triumphing in 2023, Türkiye will be on the court in Macao on Thursday, July 23. After qualifying in fourth place, the Sultans of the Net will meet Canada, who advanced in fifth place and will appear in the Finals for the first time, in a quarterfinal match scheduled for 16:00 (8:00 GMT).
Three-time VNL champions the United States had the best campaign among the 18 participating national teams and will enter the Finals as the top-seeded team. They will play against hosts China in the fourth and last quarterfinal, set to start at 19:30 (11:30 GMT).
After a day off on Friday, the Finals continue with the semifinal round, which will have both matches happening on Saturday, July 24 - the first one begins at 16:00 (8:00 GMT) and the second starts at 19:30 (11:30 GMT).
The VNL 2026 medals will be handed out on Sunday, July 25, with the semifinal losers playing for bronze at 15:30 (7:30 GMT) and the winners going for gold at 19:30 (11:30 GMT).
