The VNL (Volleyball Nations League), has released the first full episode of ROTATIONS presented by Decathlon, a new global series hosted by Brazilian volleyball legend and Olympic champion who takes volleyball storytelling beyond the court and into the cities, cultures and lived experiences that shape the sport around the world.

The debut episode features Turkish volleyball star Zehra Güneş, one of the world's leading middle blockers and an icon for both VakıfBank and the Turkish national team. Having spent her entire professional career with the same club since joining at the age of 12 years old, Zehra has become one of volleyball's most recognisable athletes, renowned not only for her success on the court but also for her leadership, resilience and influence beyond the game.

Filmed in Istanbul, the episode opens with Bruno immersing himself in the city's rich culture, beginning with a traditional Turkish coffee before meeting Zehra in her favourite neighbourhood, Çukurcuma. Together, they discuss her journey from a teenage professional to one of volleyball's biggest stars, reflecting on the value of loyalty in sport, the mindset that has driven her career and why proving people wrong has become a source of motivation.

Zehra also speaks candidly about the importance of mental health after starting her career at a young age, the lessons learnt through defeat, becoming a captain at the age of 24, and why volleyball is the ultimate team sport. Away from the court, Zehra shares more about her love of adventure, the solace she finds in cooking and growing up in a family where sport has always been a way of life. She reflects on being inspired by her sporting upbringing, with her two younger sisters, İrem Nur Güneş and Mina Güneş, also pursuing careers as volleyball players.

The first episode of ROTATIONS, featuring Zehra Güneş, is available to watch now on Volleyball World's YouTube channel, and to listen to on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. New episodes will be released every two weeks.
