World’s premier elite volleyball tournament set to return to Japan in 2025 bigger and better than ever

Mark you calendars! In preparation for the highly anticipated Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2025 Chiba, Japan, Volleyball World is excited to announce an incredible lineup of dedicated sponsors and reveal that tickets will go on sale in April with international fans able to purchase tickets for the very first time.

Join the action at VNL 2025 – the world’s premier elite volleyball tournament. Spanning eight weeks, 36 of the world's top teams will compete across 17 locations in 11 countries. Chiba, Japan, will play a key role as it hosts two pools where 12 teams will feature.

  • Women’s Pool 9 (July 9–13): Brazil, Bulgaria, France, Korea, Poland, and hosts Japan.
  • Men’s Pool 9 (July 16–20): Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Türkiye, USA, and hosts Japan.

The VNL 2024 saw records tumble, witnessing a remarkable 13% growth in attendance from 2023. Japan, in particular, experienced a 27% surge, with all home team matches sold out in Fukuoka for both men’s and women’s events - highlighting the country’s huge love for volleyball.
