The four teams that will have homecourt advantage in the first round of the 2025-2026 Tauron Liga playoffs were confirmed on Monday, when the ninth leg of the second round of the regular season was completed.

KS DevelopRes Rzeszów, PGE Budowlani Łódź, UNI Opole and BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała will occupy the four highest seeds entering the postseason, having the right to play the first and a potential third match in their best-of-three quarterfinal series at home.

Defending champions DevelopRes also confirmed the top spot in the regular season after sweeping (25-12, 25-12, 25-21) eighth-placed Metalkas Pałac Bydgoszcz at home on Friday, getting to 58 points in the standings.

"We're in our final stretch before the start of the playoffs," head coach Jelena Blagojević said. "We're trying to keep everyone healthy, which is very important, but also practice as much as we can so we can perform well when we get on the court."

With their most recent victory, they can no longer be passed by second-placed Budowlani, who played at home on Saturday and took down ninth-placed MOYA Radomka Radom also in straight sets (25-18, 25-18, 25-21). The Łódź side got to 50 points and also confirmed their spot in second place for the playoffs.

Competition to finish third, however, is still open, with third-placed UNI Opole, who defeated 11th-placed #VolleyWrocław 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 29-17) on Monday and got to 43 points, and fourth-placed Bielsko-Biała, who have 40 after beating already-relegated EcoHarpoon NOWEL LOS Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki 3-0 (25-23, 25-9, 25-16) on Sunday, having two more legs to fight for it.

Fifth-placed ŁKS Commercecon Łódź, which have 32 points, sixth-placed LOTTO Chemik Police, which have 29, and seventh-placed ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec, which got to 28, are all guaranteed in the playoffs, but their final positions are yet to be confirmed.

Commercecon played twice this week, beating UNI Opole 3-1 (28-30, 25-15, 25-21, 27-25) on Wednesday in a postponed match of the first leg of the second round, and falling to Chemik 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-17) on Friday. Chemik played again on Monday, in an anticipated match from the 11th and final leg of the regular season, and lost to Mielec, which confirmed their presence in the postseason with a 3-1 (20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22) victory. On Thursday, as part of the ninth leg, Mielec downed tenth-placed Sokół & Hagric Mogilno 3-2 (25-22, 20-25, 25-16, 25-27, 15-9).

Fighting for the last spot in the playoffs in the last two legs will be Pałac, which are currently inside the qualification zone in eighth place with 25 points, and Radomka Radom, the first team looking from the outside, with 22.

The results of the week also confirmed Nowy Dwór's relegation to the Polish second division. With only five points and two more matches to play, they can no longer catch #VolleyWrocław, which have 14.
