Pałac earn final spot in the Tauron Liga playoffs

Metalkas Pałac Bydgoszcz passed MOYA Radomka Radom in the last leg of the 2025-2026 Tauron Liga regular season and will play in the tournament's playoffs.

With their last-minute qualification, all eight postseason spots have now been awarded ahead of the start of the best-of-three quarterfinal series on Tuesday.

After claiming the eighth and last spot, Pałac will face defending champions KS DevelopRes Rzeszów, who had the best campaign in the regular season. The three other matchups will have second-placed PGE Budowlani Łódź facing seventh-placed LOTTO Chemik Police, third-placed UNI Opole meeting sixth-placed ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec and fourth-placed BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała battling fifth-placed ŁKS Commercecon Łódź.

Pałac entered the final leg tied in points with Radomka Radom with 25 each, but outside the qualification zone due to their lower number of victories. Their qualification hopes continued alive when their rivals went down 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20) to UNI Opole on Thursday.

With that, they needed a single point at home against 12th-placed EcoHarpoon NOWEL LOS Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki on Friday to advance, but instead got all three, winning 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-14) and returning to the playoffs for a second-straight season.

Opposite Monika Głodzińska, outside hitter Emilia Pinczewska and middle blocker Marta Pol scored 12 points each in Pałac's victory. Libero Monika Jagła earned the match's MVP award.

DevelopRes sweep Commercecon

On Saturday, DevelopRes concluded their regular season campaign with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-20) home win over Commercecon. On the same day, tenth-placed Sokół & Hagric Mogilno topped 11th-placed #VolleyWrocław 3-1 (25-15, 25-21, 22-25, 25-19) - both teams are out of the playoffs.  The 11th leg also had Budowlani overcoming Bielsko-Biała 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-17) on Friday,

Tauron Liga - Match Schedule & Results

The quarterfinals will begin on Tuesday, with the first matches in two series - DevelopRes vs. Pałac and UNI Opole vs. STAL Mielec. On Wednesday, the two other series - Budowlani vs. Chemik Police and Bielsko-Biała vs. Commercecon - will get started.
