Three of the four spots in the 2025-2026 Tauron Liga semifinals were filled during the second round of the quarterfinals, which had matches going on between Saturday and Monday in Poland.

KS DevelopRes Rzeszów, BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała and PGE Budowlani Łódź won their series and progressed to the Final Four, which will start this weekend, while UNI Opole and ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec are tied and will need a third and decisive match on Tuesday to settle their dispute.

Defending champions DevelopRes were the first team to qualify, winning their series against Metalkas Pałac Bydgoszcz in the second of potentially three encounters on Saturday. Despite playing on the road, the team from Rzeszów, which had gotten a sweep at home in the first match, did the same away from their stadium, winning 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-14).

Ukrainian middle blocker Svitlana Dorsman, who won the match's MVP award, and outside hitter Julita Piasecka led their victory with 13 points each.

On Sunday, Bielsko-Biała also confirmed their qualification on the road, sweeping (25-17, 25-22, 29-27) ŁKS Commercecon Łódź on the road to follow up on their four-set victory in the first round of the series.

A midseason signing for them, Italian setter Giulia Gennari took home the MVP award after she dished out 31 assists and contributed seven points, with four blocks and three kills. Estonian opposite Kertu Laak led their offense with 18 points (16 kills, one block and one ace).

Budowlani's qualification was sealed on Monday, when they defeated LOTTO Chemik Police in the tie-breaker (25-21, 17-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-7) on the road. The team from Łódź had also triumphed 3-2 at home when the teams first met.

Swiss opposite Maja Storck was the team's top scorer with 23 points (20 kills, two blocks, one ace) and earned the MVP award. Outside hitter Paulina Damaske added another 19 (15 kills, three blocks, one ace).

UNI Opole level the field against STAL Mielec

The only series still open saw UNI Opole, which finished third in the regular season, recover from a first-round upset to STAL Mielec and triumph 3-1 (21-25, 25-15, 25-13, 25-21) on the road, creating the need for a third and decisive match, which will be held in Opole on Tuesday, at 17:30 local time (18:30 UTC).

Veteran opposite Katarzyna Zaroślinska-Król came up big in the match that avoided UNI Opole's elimination and led the team with 21 points (18 kills, two blocks, one ace), getting the MVP award. American outside hitter Élan McCall came next, with 20 (17 kills, three blocks).

STAL Mielec had outside hitters Aleksandra Kazała, with 15 points (all in kills), and Anna Bączyńska, with 13 (all in kills, too), as their most productive players.
