With that, they return to the Polish Cup final for the first time since 2020-2021, the same season in which they last lifted a trophy, triumphing in the Polish Supercup.
"Coming into this match, many people counted us out," libero Justina Łysiak. "But we had one win and one loss against them in the Tauron Liga this season, so we knew we could do it. We were very brave and consistent, and took advantage of the opportunities we had. I'm very happy and proud that we're in the final, but this was just the first step and tomorrow we need to take another one."
Their semifinal victory over DevelopRes had a big influence from Maja Storck and Paulina Damaske, who combined to produce 43 points - the Swiss opposite led the team with 23 (21 kills, one block, one ace), earning the match's MVP award, while the Polish national team outside hitter delivered another 20, with 12 kills, six blocks and two aces.
DevelopRes, which medaled in each of the last four editions of the Polish Cup, had American opposite Taylor Bannister and Ukrainian middle blocker
Svitlana Dorsman as their most productive players, with 11 points each.
