Bielsko-Biała looking to extend winning streak in the Tauron Liga

BKS BOSTIK ZGO Bielsko-Biała will try to extend their winning streak in the 2024-2025 Polish Women’s Tauron Liga to eight matches this weekend, during the 13^th leg of the regular season.

Six matches will be held from Thursday to Saturday in the country and among them is the duel between Bielsko-Biała and UNI Opole, which is going to take place on Thursday, at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT).

Currently in third place in the standings with 27 points (nine wins, one loss), Bielsko-Biała are strongly involved in the race for the top of the standings as they have two fewer matches played than league leaders KS DevelopRes Rzeszów, who have 30 points (11 wins, one loss).

The team has been in excellent form in the Tauron Liga, having won their last seven matches in the tournament. Since their five-set loss to DevelopRes, in October, Bielsko-Biała have dropped just three sets, getting sweeps in their last four matches.

They faced UNI Opole in the second match of the season and won 3-0. Currently in seventh place with 14 points (four wins, eight losses), their opponents are on a four-match winless streak, having dropped two spots in the standings in the period. They have the league’s second-best scorer, opposite Katarzyna Zaroślińska-Król, with 194 points.

DevelopRes play on Friday

Besides the match between Bielsko-Biała and UNI Opole, the Tauron Liga will have another match on Thursday, with fourth-placed PGE Grot Budowlani Łódź going on the road against Energa MKS Kalisz at 16:00 local time (15:00 GMT).

League leaders DevelopRes will play at home on Friday, when they host Sokół & Hagric Mogilno at 16:00 local time (15:00 GMT). Two other duels will be held on the same day, with MOYA Radomka Radom and defending champions LOTTO Chemik Police meeting at 17:30 local time (16:30 GMT) and ITA TOOLS STAL Mielec and #VolleyWrocław facing each other at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT).

The leg will be completed on Saturday, when second-placed ŁKS Commercecon Łódź welcome Metalkas Pałac Bydgoszcz at 12:30 local time (11:30 GMT).
