Gunma Green Wings will host Kurobe Aqua Fairies at the IO Shinkin Isezaki Arena at 13:05 local time (04:05 UTC) on both competition days. Gunma are seventh in the current standings on a 17-13 win-loss ratio and 50 points, while Kurobe are three positions below them, in 10th place on 13-15 and 38. The two teams already met earlier this season. In early November, Gunma mastered a straight-set victory in the first match, but hosts Kurobe reacted with a tie-breaker win on the following day.

In another double header between teams that are close to one another in the table, PFU BlueCats Ishikawa Kahoku will welcome Queenseis Kariya to the Toriyasaimiso BlueCats Arena, also at 13:05 (04:05) on both competition days. PFU are running in fourth place on 18-10 and 59, while Kariya occupy sixth place on 17-13 and 57. These two also met in early November and also traded victories. The visitors from Gunma swept the first match, before hosts Kurobe retaliated with a five-set victory in the second.

Table leaders NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki will entertain Denso Airybees Koriyama at 14:05 (05:05) on Saturday and at 13:05 (04:05) on Sunday. The games will be played at the Tokyu Dresser Todoroki Arena. NEC top the standings convincingly, on 24-4 and 68, while Denso are in ninth place on 13-15 and 40. When Red Rockets visited Airybees in November, they brought home two wins, the first one after a tie-breaker, the second in straight sets.

Second-placed Saga Hisamitsu Springs will also play at home. They will take on Saitama Ageo Medics at the Saga Arena at 14:05 (05:05) on both match days. Saga stand on 21-7 and 56 in the runner-up position. Their visitors are in eighth place on 14-14 and 39. The two teams will meet for the first time this season.

Defending champions Osaka Marvelous will play on the road. Placed third on 21-9 and 64, they will visit bottom-placed Aranmare Yamagata, who trail in 14th on 3-25 and 10. The games will be played at the Yamagata Prefectural Sports Park Arena, serving off at 14:05 (05:05) on Saturday and at 13:05 (04:05) on Sunday. In mid-October, Marvelous put together two home wins, 3-1 and 3-0, over Aranmare.

Both competition days will open at 12:05 (03:05) with games between Victorina Himeji and Toray Arrows Shiga. Himeji will entertain their opponents at the Victorina Wink Gymnasium. They are fifth in the standings on 19-11 and 55. Toray Arrows are third from the bottom on 5-23 and 15. October’s double header between the two teams resulted in two road wins for Himeji, 3-1 and 3-0.
