Osaka Bluteon will host Wolfdogs Nagoya at the Asue Arena Osaka. Both Saturday’s and Sunday’s games are set to serve off at 17:05 local time (08:05 UTC). While the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship silver medalists are riding the momentum of a four-match winning streak and stand second in the table on an 18-4 win-loss ratio and 52 points, their visitors from Nagoya will be keen to break a four-match losing streak and climb back up from their current fourth place, where they stand on 13-9 and 39. Wolfdogs will be additionally inspired by the record setting crowds of over 14 thousand spectators at each of their home matches against defending champions and table leaders Suntory Sunbirds Osaka last weekend. This will be the first time this SV.League season the two star-studded squads face one another. Osaka won all four encounters with Nagoya last season, but two of them were pushed to five sets and the other two – to four.

Suntory Sunbirds Osaka will try to further consolidate in first place as they host Toray Arrows Shizuoka at the Ookini Arena Maishima ат 18:05 (09:05) on both days of the weekend. The champions are on a 21-game winning streak in the league, which includes two straight-set victories on the road at Toray Arrows in December. They top the table on 21-1 and 60, while the team from Shizuoka is in seventh place on 7-13 and 21.

Third-placed JTEKT Stings Aichi will also play at home this weekend. They will welcome Nippon Steel Sakai Blazers to the Okazaki Central Park Gymnasium on Saturday and Sunday at 14:05 (05:05). Aichi stand third on 15-7 and 43, while their visitors are third from the bottom, in eighth place on 7-15 and 21. In their previous double header this season, JTEKT brought home the full six points from their visit to Sakai, 3-1 and 3-0.

Tokyo Great Bears will be looking to consolidate their position in the top half of the table as they entertain Voreas Hokkaido at the Yoyogi National Stadium 2nd Gymnasium. These two matches will also serve off at 14:05 (05:05). After losing two games at Sakai last weekend, fifth-placed Tokyo will be looking to re-balance their negative record, which stands at 9-11 and 26. Voreas will try to snap out of a four-game losing run and climb up from the ninth place, where they stand on 5-15 and 17. It will be the first encounters between these two teams this SV.League season.

The team at the very bottom of the table, Nagano Tridents, sliding down a negative streak of 15 consecutive losses, will play at home, at the Air Water Arena Matsumoto on Saturday at 14:05 (05:05) and on Sunday at 13:05 (04:05), taking on Hiroshima Thunders for the first time this season. Nagano trail in 10th place on 3-19 and 14, while Hiroshima are fifth on 8-12 and 25.
