Vôlei Renata Campinas added to what has been their best season ever in 2025-2026 by triumphing in the Brazilian Cup for the first time on Sunday.

One week after defeating Sada Cruzeiro in the Men's Club South American Championship final, they met their rivals again in Londrina and prevailed 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-17) to lift the trophy.

Sunday's victory in Londrina marked the first time Campinas won a national title. Part of the Brazilian elite since 2010, they finished second in the Brazilian Cup in 2015, 2016 and 2022 and were the runners-up of the Superliga in 2016, 2024 and 2025.

The 2025-2026 season has been the most productive in club history. Besides their victories in the Brazilian Cup and the South American Championship, Campinas also topped the podium in the São Paulo State Championship and made it to the semifinals of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship for the first time.

Campinas had setter and captain Bruno Rezende as the gold medal match MVP. The team counted on 17 points (15 kills, one block, one ace) from outside hitter Adriano Xavier and 14 (nine kills, five blocks) from middle blocker Judson Nunes to prevail.

"We accomplished two huge goals in the last weeks," Bruno reflected. "This project and the city of Campinas deserved it so much. Our team was incredible today. Trailing Cruzeiro is not easy, and we managed to fight back in a few different moments. This team is special; it has something different."

Cruzeiro, which have eight Brazilian Cup titles to their name, had Olympic champion outside hitter Douglas Souza as their leading scorer in the final - he scored 15 points, one more than fellow outside hitter Rodrigo 'Rodriguinho' Leão.
