Defending champions Osasco São Cristovão Saúde and SESI Vôlei Bauru took advantage of Dentil Praia's Clube defeat in the Derby of the fourth leg of the second round of the 2025-2026 Brazilian Women's Superliga regular season, which was concluded on Saturday, to pass them in the standings.

The Uberlândia side dropped a second consecutive match in the Superliga and went down from third to fifth place in the standings after both its rivals collected all three points in their matches.

With that, the rearranged Superliga top five now shows  Osasco in third place with 33 points (11 wins, five losses), SESI in fourth with 32 (11 wins, five losses) and Praia in fifth with 30 (ten wins, five losses). SESC RJ Flamengo and Gerdau Minas continue to occupy the top two spots, with 43 (15 wins, one loss) and 38 (13 wins, two losses) points, respectively.

SESI moved to fourth place on Friday, thanks to a 3-1 (25-22, 13-25, 25-14, 25-22) road win over Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro.

Olympic medalist middle blocker Diana Duarte earned the match's MVP award after scoring 16 points (nine kills, five blocks, one ace), while opposite Bruna Moraes led the team's offense with 19 (16 kills, two blocks, one ace).

Osasco played on Saturday and were also on the road against ninth-placed Batavo Mackenzie. The defending champions got the job done in four sets, triumphing 3-1 (25-21, 25-27, 25-21, 25-18).

Olympic medalist libero Camila Brait ended the match with 12 passes and an impressive 22 digs, earning the MVP award, while Argentine opposite Bianca Cugno carried the team offensively with 20 points, all in kills.

Praia go down in the Derby

Praia played on Friday and opened the door for SESI and Osasco after going down in the in-state Derby against Minas, losing in straight sets (25-23, 25-22, 25-22).

Olympic champion middle blocker Thaisa Menezes was Minas' top scorer with 13 points (eight kills, four blocks, one ace), one more than outside hitter Glayce Vasconcelos, who received the MVP award.

The fourth leg of the second round of the regular season started on Thursday, with eighth-placed Paulistano Barueri sweeping (25-18, 25-21, 25-13) 12th-placed Renasce Sorocaba, continued on Friday, when Flamengo defeated 11th-placed Tijuca Tênis Clube also in straight sets (25-18, 25-21, 27-25), and also had seventh-placed Sancor Maringá Vôlei beating tenth-placed Brasília Vôlei 3-1 (25-12, 24-26, 26-24, 25-20) on Saturday.
