The lineup for the 2025-2026 Brazilian Women's Superliga playoffs was finalized this week, during the tenth leg of the second round of the regular season, and had Batavo Mackenzie claiming the eighth and last spot in the tournament's postseason.

The team from Belo Horizonte needed only two sets at home against seventh-placed Sancor Maringá Vôlei on Thursday, but won the match 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 27-25) and pleased the fans twice, also delivering a dominant victory.

Besides Mackenzie, the other teams guaranteed in the Superliga playoffs are SESC RJ Flamengo, Gerdau Minas, Osasco São Cristovão Saúde, Dentil Praia Clube, SESI Vôlei Bauru, Fluminense and Maringá. The teams' final placements and the quarterfinal matchups will be determined in the last leg of the regular season.

Outside hitter Gabriella 'Gabiru' Souza earned the match's MVP award in Batavo's victory over Maringá after scoring ten points (eight kills, one block, one ace). She was among the team's top scorers alongside opposite Arianne Tolentino, who produced 11 points (nine kills, two aces), and middle blocker Saraelen Lima, who also scored ten, all in kills.

"This was a very important result for us," Gabiru said. "A playoff spot was on the line, and we wanted to please our fans and reward the club for the effort made during the entire season. Our first goal is now achieved, but we'll keep giving all we have to end the Superliga in the best possible way."

The match's top scorer was Maringá's opposite Jaqueline 'Jaque' Schmitz, who left the court with 12 points (11 kills, one block).
