Just over 40 days after meeting in the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship final in Brazil, Savino Del Bene Scandicci and Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano are set to clash with a trophy on the line again on Sunday.

The two best teams in the 2025-2026 Lega Femminile Serie A1 Tigotà regular season, they overcame the semifinals of the Coppa Italia A1 Frecciarossa on Saturday in Turin and will meet in the final on Sunday, at 15:00 local time (14:00 UTC).

Set to play in the Italian Cup final for the first time after going down in the semifinals four times, Scandicci had to fight hard for their spot in Sunday's gold medal match. The reigning world champions were pushed hard by Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri '76, but survived a five-set battle to win 3-2 (5-22, 22-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-8) and advance.

Olympic and world champion opposite Ekaterina Antropova delivered a spectacular performance to get Scandicci through, leading the team with 25 points (18 kills, five blocks, two aces). American Olympic medalist outside hitter Avery Skinner was also in top form, contributing 21, with 20 kills and a block.

"This is the club's first Coppa Italia final, and that was an important goal for us," middle blocker Emma Graziani said. "The match went exactly as we expected because we knew Chieri would be incredible opponents. But we held our own and were able to take the win."

Chieri, which for the fourth time had their Coppa Italia run stopped in the semifinals, had Hungarian opposite Anett Németh matching Antropova's production with 25 points (23 kills, two blocks) of her own. Swiss outside hitter Laura Künzler came next with 15 (13 kills, two blocks).

Conegliano sweep Novara

Looking to win their seventh-straight and eighth overall Italian Cup title, Conegliano had a smoother path to their tenth-straight final. The Panthers played Igor Gorgonzola Novara in the first semifinal and kept a strong rhythm from start to finish to triumph 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-21).

Isabelle Haak and Gabriela 'Gabi' Guimarães split Conegliano's scoring load in the match, with the Swedish heavy-hitting opposite tallying 15 points (12 kills, three blocks) and the Brazilian national team captain and outside hitter adding another 14 (13 kills, one ace).

"We played well and are happy for it," middle blocker Cristina Chirichella remarked. "We managed to keep our focus the entire time, and that led us to a good performance. But we haven't won anything yet, and tomorrow we'll have another very difficult match."

Russian opposite Tatiana Tolok carried Novara's offense in the match and topped all scorers with 24 points (23 kills, one block). Middle blocker Federica Squarcini was the team's next best scorer with nine (six kills, two blocks, one ace).

Sunday will mark the fourth time Conegliano and Scandicci meet in a final. The Panthers were on the winning side in the 2023-2024 Italian league and the 2024-2025 CEV Champions League, while Scandicci triumphed in the Club World Championship last month. That marked just their second victory over their rivals in the last ten encounters.
