Conegliano, which had won the first match between the teams in the tie-breaker last weekend, are now just one win away from returning to the Finals for an eighth-straight season. They can confirm their qualification as soon as Tuesday, when the teams meet for the third time, in Villorba. For Novara, the only option to making it to the Finals now is beating the defending champions three straight times.
Sidelined since she left the first match of the quarterfinal series against Eurotek Laica UYBA Busto Arsizio, on March 1, Gabi reappeared in Conegliano's starting lineup against Novara and delivered a spectacular performance, topping all scorers with 16 points (all in kills) and earning the match's MVP award.
"I'm very happy with tonight's match because Novara are always very strong at home," Gabi said. "We did a very good job both offensively and defensively, and now we'll prepare to play even better in the next match.
